I am now heading towards the last few months of my senior year and I am terrified, happy, sad, and so much more. Not in a negative way whatsoever just my time in high school is coming to an end and it’s sinking in. I am a little nervous about graduation because Jostens was at the high school not long ago and I ordered my class ring and my cap and gown. When seeing everything it made me realize there’s only a little time left and soon my whole family is going to see me graduate. I’m not worried about meeting my grades for graduation, the only thing that worries me a little is my exit interview. I sometimes get really nervous in front of people and I don’t want to rush through everything to the point where I have a lot of time left over and nothing interesting to speak about.
The preparations I have taken so far post-graduation are completing my FAFSA, Cal Grant, and applying to COS as well as applying for scholarships. I have also begun to prepare to make plans to move out of my home and with my friend. And I have been job hunting, but I feel like I will have more opportunities in other nearby towns since they are bigger but only when I receive my car that way I can provide my own transportation. I still need to complete my senior project and my exit interview which I hope goes really well. I also only need to stay on pace in my regular classes but I don’t see any problems with that.
I am really excited about Grad Night because I have never been to Disneyland or go anywhere far and adventurous with friends before. I think it’s going to be a really great and fun experience to have with many memories to look back on. I am also excited for my exit interview because I feel confident and that I can have a great interview. The senior farewell rally as well will be coming up and seeing all of our pictures and memories is going to be really amazing and I really hope I don’t get too emotional over it. I am just really sad and happy to be in this moment right now because it is the first step into real life and in creating my own path for my future.
I am really grateful towards all of my teachers, they work so hard for every student and make learning such a great experience. I am really happy to have spent my time here at LHS for all four years of high school. I started my freshman year not knowing anyone and in a completely new environment and I could not have been welcomed in any better way from the school and the students. I am very thankful for all the great memories I have made here at Lindsay High School, they helped shape my perspective on life and allowed me to mature. I am sad to say goodbye to my school and all the amazing people I have had the pleasure to have met. I only hope maybe one day when I have a family of my own they can attend LHS as well.
